A fall crispness is in the air and that means it’s time for APAture: A Window on the Art of Young Asian Pacific Americans ! You know, when you head down to Somarts (see address below) for Kearny Street Workshop’s multidisciplinary arts expo showcasing the work of Bay Area Asian Pacific American artists ages 18-35.

This year, they’ve selected my sound installation, REMAPPING CHICAGO , into the gallery exhibition. Through audio tracks broadcast on KKSW in Somarts, this project takes you beyond the landmarks and tourist attractions to a more diverse, and potentially subversive, Chicago.

The FREE Gallery Opening is on Tuesday, September 24, but since openings are crowded and loud, I encourage you to return during another APAture event. That way, you can support the event AND actually hear my piece. Below, I’ve plugged some of the performances I’m looking forward to. I hope you join me!
