Poya Days
I've been meaning to find a moon calendar because the full moon day is a holiday in Sri Lanka! Poya Days is a Buddhist tradition. Unfortunately, we are nowhere near a full moon while we're there (December 25-January 7).

Mosquito Repellant
Contrary to Dr. Mom, dousing my system with Vitamin B will not naturally keep the mosquitos away according to this report.
In an effort to avoid the DEET-based repellants, I'm looking for natural (citronella) alternatives. Thanks to a birthday gift from a co-worker, I already have some Burts insect repellant. It's 40% citronella, so I don't have to worry of overspraying myself with nasty chemicals!

Nayomi's heads up says you should have these covered: diptheria, Hepatitis A/B, polio, rabies. AND get malaria pills.
